Tanning salon overheads

Overhead costs control is very important for any business and certainly the tanning salon business is no different. Most tanning salon business owners that have failed miserably would have not paid attention to their overhead expenses. I learnt that in order to be successful, one will need to chop down every conceivable overhead expense in the tanning salon business that does not generate revenue.

Simple things like the cost of garbage removal and the cost of paper for administrative purposes must be looked into. The biggest overheads in the tanning salon business are the costs of labor by way of employees and the cost of marketing.

I made firm plans to reduce my overheads in the proposed tanning business. I was going to use the same phone lines as the main business had and was going to give my tanning salon a name whose acronym would match the acronym of the main business. My marketing would be strictly internet based along with some direct flyers placed on peoples’ doorsteps and on car windshields.

My biggest customer base development would be based on the strategy of repeat customers and offering good discounts for comebacks. Customers would be given great discounts on products and be given good incentives to sign up for long term contracts. Bare bones overheads had been my claim to fame in the main business until the economy as a whole decided to cave in and bare bones overheads was going to be continued way of life in the tanning salon business also.
